Swagger or Swagg- confidence in one's own appeal.

For as long as I can remember music as had a huge influence in my life from R&B/Soul, Pop, Rock and especially Hip Hop. I remember back in the day having to wear dress shoes like penny loafers to church I hated dress shoes. Until one day I noticed Michael Jackson wearing dress shoe during a performance and doing the moonwalk ( the slick bottoms actually aid in sliding your feet) then they were cool. How bout when Usher made it cool to wear snow goggles when it wasn't snowing. Remember when Dru Hill made it okay for black guys to bleach their hair, or at least we thought so. Swagg, confidence in one's own appeal. Not to be confused with that compressed block of dirt stems and seeds the Mexicans keep sending over here, this is far from that. Swagg is something that you can't always pin point exactly cause it varies. From the fohawks dudes rock to how Obama talks to the people he saying the same shit they always say but we listen and believe that shit because he has Swagg. Bush was a gangster he was gonna take your money whether you liked it or not, Obama is more like a pimp we willing give him our money. (Remember it's not what you say it's how you say it.) Like I was saying Swagg is associated with confidence style and demeanor a whole range of things. But ultimately what it boils down to is everyone's Swagg is different, but the end result is always the same you can't help but to like it! For instance take the rapper Gucci Mane the first time I heard him was the "So Icy" song. Something told me he would go far until I saw him in some YouTube videos then I thought NOT! I was wrong sure enough Gucci Mane's Swagg (the the fact that he stayed true to it and it's his own unique Swagg), has built him loyal fan base and continues to make it's mark in music. Gucci Mane's Swagg even has an influence on other artist such as Soulja Boy another artist I didn't like at first. But after doing some homework on the multimillion dollar entrepreneur,I quickly learned the kid started his own company at the age of 14 and was a millionaire by the age of 16. There is nothing you can do but respect the Swagg. Which through respect came understanding and from that i began to like "PrettyBoy Swagg". Now Swagg is often imitated but never duplicated. Swagg is not to be copied. Although one may take a lit bit from all their influences to ultimately create their own Swagg every person's Swagg is different.
